Halloween Tipple
Bloody Harry Cocktail
From ghoulies and ghosties, to long-leggedy beasties and things that go
bump in the night. Shadows of a thousand years rise again unseen, and voices
whisper in the trees, “Tonight is Halloween!”
31 October marks the return of the thrill-ing holiday, Halloween. This
fear-provoking holiday had its beginnings in an ancient, pre-Christian Celtic
festival of the dead, where it was believed that during Halloween, more so than
any other time of the year, the ghosts of the dead were able to mingle with the
living.
Although this holiday is still gaining popularity among South African
households, Americans have piqued our curiosity through their traditions of
pumpkin carving, fancy dress-ups, scary movies and trick-or-treating.
In celebration of Halloween, we have stirred up a cunning recipe in our cauldron of ideas.
So, before the arrival of this imminent day,
try our Bloody Harry Cocktail.
