Salted chocolates sounds counter-intuitive, but for me, it is a match made in heaven.

Fresh pasta

No Italian pasta stand is complete without breadsticks and over-sized pepper-mill.

Made some lovely bruschettas with sourdough bread, wild rocket, goat's cheese pecorino and reduced balsamic vinegar bought from the market.

Bruschetta and medley of cherry tomato salad served with mint and parsley pesto.

These lovely jewel-red pomegranates cost me a mere R10 for three at the City Bowl Market.

Sunday's coconut and noodle soup, served with pak choi, roasted peanuts and grilled prawns.
